The fic and art recs lists were formerly hosted as part of my personal journal [Fishwink] but there's far too many of them these days so I moved them here. Also, I wanted to separate them from my personal journal because I'm not just all about the Harry Potter fandom
So, it's more a listing of fics and art that I liked than a fully fledged [and annotated] recs listing. There's a real mix of stuff on this list - old & new, well known & obscure, one-shots and chaptered fics, slash, gen, het, femmeslash & art. I'm not making a master list and I don't claim to be well versed in literary or artistic appreciation - so this is for me, really. But if it points you to something that you really enjoy reading or looking at, then I'm glad.
It's light on the angst/darkfics, all the kinks and pairings I'm not particulary fond of [mostly, though I make some exception somewhere to most of them!], NWS art and the big, chaptered fics. Heavy sexual content will be labelled Smut, so I leave it to you not to read if you're underage (whatever underage means in your country) or if that's not your thing. Extreme violence/dark themes labelled Dark. Art not suitable for looking at at work is labelled NWS. I'll also tell you if one of the main characters is going to die unexpectedly during the fic. If it's a huge focus of the story that is. [and definitely if it is a pairing fic]. Recs are listed under main pairing[s]. If pairings are only a side issue in the main storyline, then it goes under gen [well mostly]. Slash is male/male, Femmeslash - female/female - if that offends you then don't read it! All pages have been tagged with 'slash' or 'femmeslash' if that is the main focus of what they contain. Pairings are given generally if they're a main storyline in a gen fic. Most fics are one shots unless otherwise tagged. Art is not NWS unless marked and pairings are given.
I don't have time to check for broken links[or keep the pages sparkly and free of all editing errors ahem] but I do mark things with a B if I know that they're broken. Fic does have a habit of disappearing as people move on from the fandom and sites get taken down which is the way of all things fandom. I keep things in the listing even when I know they're broken as a kind of memorial I guess. I enjoyed it while it existed and I'd like to remember it :) You can take it from me that it was where I linked it at the time of reading. If you spot anything broken and you know where it is, do feel free to tell me.
